A consultative meeting between the esteemed Deputy for Research and the Secretariat members of the Fifth Women’s Book of the Year Conference and the Director General of the International Office of Jamiat al‑Zahra (sa) was convened on 2 Shahrivar 1405. The session aimed to examine the international orientation of the fifth edition and to outline structured pathways for collaboration among the institution’s various departments. During the meeting, Dr. Shakeri stated that this year’s special theme is “Women and Family.” She emphasized that, in light of the successful organization of the previous four editions, the fifth edition must be designed with heightened sensitivity and a clearly articulated international approach. Such an approach, she noted, is essential for presenting and disseminating authentic Islamic perspectives on women and family at the global level. She further highlighted that all departments of Jamiat al‑Zahra (sa) are stakeholders in this endeavor and that broader and more coordinated global networking is required. Hujjat al‑Islam wal‑Muslimin Dr. Abbasi, while commending the current direction, underscored the importance of creating an enabling environment for the internationalization of the conference. He identified Jamiat al‑Zahra’s comparative advantage precisely in its capacity for international networking. He proposed holding a dedicated session to define the framework of cooperation, activate existing capacities, and clarify audience segmentation—such as whether participation should be limited to Shia scholars or extended to Sunni and even Christian intellectuals, and whether Sunni researchers from various countries may submit papers. The discussion then turned to the capacities of the International Office, including the presence of multilingual students, field experience across different countries, and the pressing need in many societies for accurate knowledge about Iran. Several practical proposals were presented to strengthen the international dimension of the conference and elevate its fifth edition into a distinguished, credible, and influential global event: • Linguistic expansion by adding languages such as Indonesian, Russian, Spanish, and African languages to demonstrate the global reach of the conference; • Possibility of inviting international guests for in‑person participation; • Developing a comprehensive list of partner academic institutions and establishing formal communication channels; • Preparing a precise, academically structured visual report of the previous four editions; • Coordinating the translation of selected books from the past four editions through the International Office; • Holding an additional follow‑up meeting to define the detailed requirements of the International Office and the conference secretariat.
