The coordination session of the scientific and executive secretaries of the International Women’s Book of the Year Conference at Jamiat al‑Zahra (sa) was convened with the aim of outlining the academic and operational path of this event, so as to highlight the prominent role of women scholars in national and international arenas. In this meeting, Mrs. Fatemeh Rabani (Executive Secretary) and Mrs. Haj‑Esmaeili (Scientific Secretary) reviewed the main themes of the conference and emphasized the necessity of fostering a dynamic scholarly movement among women. Mrs. Haj‑Esmaeili, in her remarks and with reference to the elevated status of knowledge in Islam, highlighted the historical and civilizational role of learned Muslim women. She noted that women in the Islamic tradition have always been carriers of knowledge, interpreters of thought, and pioneers in intellectual cultivation, and she stated that this year’s conference should serve as an appropriate platform for presenting the valuable works of women researchers and for strengthening the current of women’s religious scholarship among seminary women at both national and transnational levels. The Executive Secretary of the conference also elaborated on the strategic role of seminary women and stated: “Women scholars of the seminary can serve as a bridge between authentic Islamic thought and global audiences, presenting a clear and dignified image of the educated Muslim woman on the international stage.” She added that this group, equipped with the necessary scholarly and linguistic competencies, can play an influential role in international religious outreach by conveying the message of compassionate Islam and the boundless teachings of the Ahl al‑Bayt (a) in various languages; therefore, the Women’s Book of the Year Conference must become a platform for the manifestation of these capabilities. At the conclusion of the meeting, the secretaries expressed hope for strong engagement from the academic community, women researchers, seminary students, and intellectuals from around the world, and emphasized that this event can serve as a link connecting women scholars inside and outside the country, paving the way for the formation of a dynamic network of women active in scholarship, research, and international academic engagement.
